Books I enjoyed in 2008

I have enjoyed reading many books this year. Here are three that I would recommend.

The Reason for God, by Tim Keller. Keller has a readable style and a sharp mind. This book strengthens the confidence of the Christian and assures those who are thinking about Christianity that Christian faith is far from intellectual-suicide.

Porridge and Passion, by Jonathan Aitken. Aitken is a very good writer and this book is a very enjoyable read. I found myself looking forward to picking this book up and continuing the story. 'Porridge and Passion' focuses on the time that Aitken spent in prison and in the years after prison.

Living the cross centred live, by C. J. Mahaney. This short, readable and straightforward book is a timely reminder of the centre of the Christian faith. It has made a big impact on people I know. Mahaney's book on humility is also excellent.
